About Dr. Patrick S. Chang

At the head of Palo Verde Clinic PLLC in Chandler, Arizona, since 1995, Dr. Patrick S. Chang consistently receives distinction for his skills, including four “Top Doc” in Internal Medicine awards from Phoenix Magazine. Dr. Chang frequently holds administrative positions at regional facilities, with past appointments including Chair of Internal Medicine, Chair of the Contract Committee, and Chair of the Subcontract Committee at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, and member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona State Physicians Association. Dr. Chang also supports aspiring health care professionals through posts in education, with past and current positions including Proctor to medical students and nurse practitioner students at Arizona State University and the University of Phoenix and Clinical Assistant Professor at Midwestern University. Dedicated to remaining abreast of developments in the medical field, Dr. Patrick S. Chang holds membership with the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Patrick S. Chang pursued extensive education before establishing his private practice. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, Dr. Chang gained admission to the top-ranking Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Upon graduating with his Doctor of Medicine, he acquired valuable field experience through various roles at full-service medical facilities. In the three years after receiving his M.D. degree, Dr. Patrick S. Chang completed an internship with Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona; a residency with Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, a multi-facility hospital group in Oregon; and a fellowship with Oregon Health Science University in Portland.

When not treating patients or leading students, Dr. Chang enjoys reading, traveling, and jogging. He resides in Chandler, Arizona.
